My last weekend's walk
I started in my mother's garden out front of the house. Maybe genuinegirly and some of the other botany buffs can help me out with what these are. :)
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3835a.jpg i'm good with the milkweed. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3837a.jpg where our ancient kitties are buried http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3842a.jpg i loved these little matching weeds http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3857a.jpg and we walked around the neighborhood awhile. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3855a.jpg found Dr. Seuss' cactus-palm... http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3859a.jpg and a flame vine... which I love. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3867a.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3871a.jpg the street where I grew up. yes, they're really that tall... all of them. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3863a.jpg pretty something... only a little hospice-appropriate. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3875a.jpg a neighbor's mushroom collection in her garden http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3887a.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3890a.jpg and back home again. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3916a.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3.../IMG_3918a.jpg there are a ton more, but these are my favorites. i hate how they lose something when uploaded to photobucket. and it was a lot colder than it looked. but a gorgeous day in sarasota. |
How very colorful. Those are such unusual mushrooms. They almost look plastic.

I missed noodle's walking story with pictures. nice!
I especially like the one with the white pot. shadow in the background works well. and I love those kinds of spindly palm trees... ---------- Post added at 09:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 PM ---------- and the first one is a succulent...a lot of succulents don't have common names...they're just called succulents, but I think these succulents would qualify as a rosette variety...I'm no authority, though |
