the sb-900 is a tremendous flash. The only real difference bewtween it and the 580ex II is the inclusion of su-4 mode which allows it to be triggered remotely by another flash. (The SB-800 and other flashes have this also)
There are some other differences Actually just sold mine to get another 5D Mark II

I've seen the strobist encouraging people to buy the older Nikon flashes like the SB-24, but hadn't realised the SB900 would be of good value to Canon shooters too.
Cool. Canon just announced a recall notice on the new 5D mk2 mirrors coming loose from it's mounting due to faulty adhesive. Keep an eye on yours. |
