Self-portraits are different than 'portraits'
so in my opinion it is okay. nettuno, I love your self-portrait. Here is my self-portrait in the bathroom.

Since this is the most public part of the board, I'm closing this thread. Once you've earned membership, we have extensive threads with this exact topic - there are 3 that seem to fit this particular one fairly well. If someone feels strongly about keeping this open, they're welcome to make their case to me or any other staff member, but for now, I think that this one is best closed.

OK, OK, message received. You folks want this thread open. That's fine. Just be careful about what you post. If this thread dies (and by that I mean falls off the first page of Tilted Photography), I'll move it out of here and into something that requires a higher level of membership. So the onus is on YOU to make sure that doesn't happen if you want this one to stay where it is.
Have fun!

Thank you, Jazz. I think there is an inherent difference in this thread than in other portrait threads and as such is appropriate for the photography forum.

Only time will tell at this point. If people keep it going, then it was. At this point, I would say that the general consensus is that it was a very good idea. Hopefully you and the rest of the crowd keep this thread going. I'd say that it has lots of potential. It's up to everyone here to make sure that potential is realized.

We can say that, I realized today that I selected the wrong photo my bad.
Now this one I did, it's a little older a couple years, my best friend is in the photo with me. Gotta love the BF since kindergarten and still going on strong. |

In the bathroom at the Rafiki's Planet Watch section of Animal Kingdom. I am compelled to take these pictures in public bathrooms for some reason. To my right is a small sign all about animal poop, for your reading pleasure while sitting on the toilet. I thought that was kind of charming...and informative.
oh, and yes I am wet, quite wet actually...from the river raft ride. woosh came the wave over the side...
