photos Halloween.

I was just messing around.

I think it turned out really dramatic.

What do you think?

It's pretty disorienting - spooky I guess. Multiple exposure - hdr?

Actually, it's just a long exposure. Thirty seven seconds. I thought it was appropriate for the time of year.

The yard looks absolutely fantastic. Very surreal. It brings the solitary pumpkin into a strong focus.

The printer box is a little distracting. Is it there for a reason?

I like the contrast between light and dark, too.

Very eerie--I like.

I agree, though, the box is kind of distracting.

Brightness is a bit overpowering for me. I'd be interested to see how it looked with the entire picture darkened substantially.

I agree, the box is kind of weird. But it's my ma's house, and her printer.

Um, the point of the photograph, is that it's taken in almost pitch dark, and that since the exposure is longer, it absorbs as much light as I allow. So, if it was darker, taken at the "normal" metered time, there would be no distinction of what you're actually looking at.

Actually, here, this is one of my test shots, significantly darker:

i'm kinda interested in the word brother.
it draws attention to the ghost table on the left of the image.
is there a way to crank up the blackness of the legs?
then it becomes a split image and is more complicated than the orange upper right playing off the pumpkin center and making it kinda jump forward...

i think this has interesting complications that are possible.
