Very nice pics. I can't wait for the first snowfall here, I love it.
|
Whew... I thought you might have included a picture of our house, but it's only our street, hahaha. :D Yeah, that was a really nice snowfall, wasn't it? Complemented our late-night viewing of Biden vs. Palin (with popcorn) very nicely. :)

i had the best seat in the house last night. the tv room where i watched the debate has one wall completely made of glass that overlooks rvk (the photos with the flagpole.) ps the 1st and 2nd pics were taken from the front of my house :)

I love first snow, everything looks so pure.
I don't miss living in it. It's nice to visit. Nice pictures! |
I love the last picture.
I'm not looking forward to our first snow at all. ): I hate winter. I wish it stayed autumn forever. |
Cool pics.. It's like I was there!
I slipped and almost fell several times today. Time for the boots... |

. The First Snowfall
The first snowfall of winter is gently floating down, it doesn't seem to settle, only hover over town. And in the quiet stillness, unbroken silent sound, a snowflake wanders slowly to its place upon the ground. Peering through my window, I watch the snowflakes dance in a silent pirouette that leaves their fate to chance. As each one tumbles softly in misty shrouds of white, I somehow know the snow will last the night. Could it be I'm dreaming, or could it be I'm right; do the snowflakes really fall in patterns made of light? Twisting, ever turning, softly falling flakes of down, angels' pillows gently come to rest upon the town. -Jane Ellen Beautiful glimpse into a world far different from where I am now -- thank you! Today it was 70 degrees and sunny. |
I love the snow...great pics. It's only 40F here overnight, so it'll be a while before it snows. I wish winter would stay longer.
|
I love the first snowfall of the season... or any snow that comes out looking fresh and clean.
No snow here any time soon. |

Anyway, if you really like winter, feel free to move to Iceland and join us! October to April, no real spring or autumn, and about 3 months of summer if we're lucky. :) |
I don't have a problem with the snow, I have a problem with the temperatures that come along with it.
