Oh, but that sliver of a rainbow is so...Washington. So's the weather, for that matter.

Beautiful pics, curiousbear. I haven't made it out to Mt. Rainier in...16 years now? There have been too many other national parks to visit, but I'd like to go back sometime. When I go up to my parents' place, you can see Mt. Rainier from one window of the house, and from the yard and the beach, so long as the weather is clear. Nothing says Washington more to me than that mountain.

Beautiful. One of my favorite trips in this country, ever! Mount Rainier is even on my desktop

Actually I am new to US. I wish I get some local friends who like trekking/hiking. The rainbow was just after we finished our 9 mile round trip trail from paradise -> alta vista -> skyline -> lakes trail -> back to paradise. It was like smiling at us.

The photos are nice, I've always wanted to visit the PNW. I'm active, off & on, on a tree care forum (long story) & there are many members there from the PNW who post photos.
