Naples Sunset
Looking at the photos I took today, I was reminded that I still had photos on the card from our 4th of July trip down to Naples.
These are a few sunset shots. I got others that day, but I haven't gone through them all, yet. It was an interesting day. We arrived there at about 1:00 in the afternoon and parked ourselves at safe, but respectable distance from the pier (where the fireworks were to be set off from). It stayed pretty sparsely populated until about 6 or 7 when droves, and I mean droves, of people started arriving. And in quintessential Naples style, the 'beautiful' families set up elaborate buffets of food and were drinking wine from crystal glasses. Rich people live so funny, lol. But anyway, the sunset. I was a beautiful one...

Wow, mixed. these are wonderful sunset shots. I like the third one with the sun hovering just above the sailboat.
Nice work.

Thanks, guys. Mother nature gave me a lot to work with.
Here are some more from that evening. You can see how the beach started to fill up even though we were quite a ways from the pier. I realize that some of these are pretty dark, but I was most interested in the skies. These guys were pretty interesting. They walked by me once and I could hear them talking, they were speaking English but very heavily accented like they might have come from the continent, they all smiled at me, I smiled back, and after they had passed I noticed that the guy with the wifebeater and the white cap (who didn't have his shirt on at the time) had large tattoos up and down his back. It took a few seconds to register that they were two AK-47s tattooed next to each other - the way you fit two shoes together in a shoebox. One of the neat things about Naples is that, like Orlando, it is a big tourist destination. But unlike Orlando, the destination is the city itself. So you are immersed in people from different places - speaking different languages, wearing different clothes - all the time. Anway, on with the pictures... And this is from earlier in the day, but I figure everybody loves a hot bikini babe.
