I posted these in a private journal entry because there were many that had children in them, but I will post the ones fit for TFP public consumption here.

There's just something about public bathrooms, I dunno...

The Reforms

The manager of an office wanted to motivate his staff to more thoroughly wash while in the restroom, so he puts up a sign saying "THINK!" above the sink in the staff restroom. Thinking that to be a sufficient-enough motivator, he is rather pleased to have created such a simple solution. Upon returning, however, he finds a new sign above the liquid soap dispenser saying "THOAP!".

I like this somewhat annual thread, and its diverse vibe of the mundane we don't nearly take the time to notice or remember in the moment.

Thanks with effervecence.

oh, you would have a great time in Daytona, noodle...like I said before, they've really tried to 'fix it up,' but they'll never get rid of that seedy funkiness that Daytona was known for for several decades...and I would never want them to. I like it just the way it is. When I was a kid there was a carnival there, too...that's gone, though.

But the man and I are planning to go spend a weekend there soon. Woohoo!

Thanks you guys!

I know! The drip castle I took pictures of was right next to the guy making the really involved pyramid castle, but the drip castle was much more interesting to photograph...

I love these. It's been a long time since I've been to Daytona beach and with these images, I can totally recall the smell of salt in the air, the feel of the sand and the sound of the ocean.

Thank you for that.

The fat guy on the beach chair b&w is my favourite. There's a whole lot of awesome in that pic. Something very real, very...American in that pic, I guess. I don't really know what it is, but it's good.

I wish I had a photographer's eye, I can only do snapshots. It's clear that you have the eye.

What flavor is the teal jelly? I don't think I've ever eaten anything that was teal...

Actually it was the blue jello that came with my daughter's 'shrimp boat.' She's not a fan of the jello.

heh, you should have seen the older guy in what my two older daughters called the 'banana hammock' (a man-thong) when we first got there...didn't get a picture of him, but we were driving along and one them said, 'look at that guy in the banana hammock!' lol, he was in front of us and we passed him, naturally, I had to take a look at the front of him and he, well, he was hung like a horse.

Oh, the car was full of girlish laughter

Thank you, redlemon and Nikki for the nice words.

Nice pictures, my last visit down there was back in Spring Break 1999 when I was stationed in Jacksonville and much closer than I am these days.

My favourite time to visit that town was in the much quieter offseason and drive around at night.
