world pinhole day....(oops, a little late)
April 27th was world pinhole day, so off to the beautifully blooming park I went, pinhole cameras in hand:
Yikes! color film gets real colorful when you expose it too long Ilford B&W film fun flare with lens-less cameras enjoy! |

I have always loved pinhole cameras!
How long did you expose these for and what kind of film did you use? What kind of contraption did you set up for your camera?

Wow, I really like those PJ - especially the first.
I've been totally bummed over shooting with my holga for a few weeks and not getting anything decent out of it. Thanks for the inspiration.

I cut the exposure down to about 20 sec. in the third, cause I was shooting into the sun. The b&w shot was on Ilford SFX200. I think the exposure there was 1 min., 45 sec. I needed extra time because the film is much slower and I had a red filter over the hole. All were shot with modified holgas from this place: http://www.holgamods.com/ This guy is a holga mastermind, and very trustworthy! Quote:
People I know that are unhappy with their holga stuff say their exposures suck. I'm not sure what you don't like about yours, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try faster film. 800 for color and even 3200 b&w. |

i love the concept of the pin hole camera. we played around with them back in primary school (around 1984 i think) and developed our photos ourselves in the school lab. wish i still had some of the results
these days i´m playing around with the super 8 format and just recently bought 2 of my cameras with me back to iceland

Joe! I always like this time of year and seeing what you come up with for Pinhole Day.
I am so lazy. I really need to take more pictures.
