Today
Went riding around town with my parents today in their convertible. It was a beautiful day. Thought I would share some shots. I know some of these are repetitive, but I'm like that. I become obsessed with things and shoot them over and over again...bear with me.
I'm loving the macro

I love the feel of the extreme low angle...
Do you think there is something submissive in the choice of that angle?

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar... but it's an interesting question nonetheless. As a photographer (a dabbler with pretensions of more) your shots just made me wonder if there is a correlation between the types of shots we like to take and who we are... I am sure there is but any attempt to nail it down would be facile and demeaning to both the shot and the photographer... I suppose this is why I've always felt that any true meaning in a work of art stems more from the viewer than the artist/author. It's 10 am and I am only half way through my first coffee...

I think there is definitely a correlation with some shots and none whatsoever with others. Using these shots as an example, the building shots and even the pole, I believe, are a manifestation of 'my vision.' I think it's highly likely that my compulsion to take shots like that is linked to other defining characteristics of my personality, be they sexual or otherwise. After all, it wouldn't be the first time that I made associations between my behaviors and inclinations in this way.
Conversely, the bee picture was simply a 'look a bee, and I have my new macro, let me take a picture of it' kind of thing.
