Night shots (warning, heavy download)

Hi, I enjoy alot night photography and as I was cleaning my hard drive, I found some shots from this summer, I'm sharing them with you.

As you'll see, I like HDR/Tone mapping :-)

I like that first one, very cool

I am trying my hand at night photography and am curious to know what gear/settings you use to achieve those shots. I consistently aim to improve.

For fun, here is an example of my work!

Hi, thoses pictures were made with a Canon Powershot G2 and multiples shot of différent exposition tine, then assembled in Photomatix. It's a technic called Tone mapping.

If you like to take night pictures, you should really check that :-)

Cool Photos. In the first one...I would add a small BATMAN figure perched
on top of the building, cape flying in the wind, looking down on the city.

Great shots and thanks for the photomatix tip... looks awesome.

Did anybody else notice the flying saucer above the building here? Very Cool!

Typically I don't like HDR stuff but that last shot really sells it.

Good work.

Thank you.

There is no photoshop in those pictures and I think that in the church pic, the orange street lights of Montreal realy create an effect in contrast with the night sky.

Thank for all your comments all :-)

The first thing I noticed was the flying saucer effect. Great pics.

The church shot and the Street shot are gorgeous... really dynamic. I just want to keep staring at it.

thank you for sharing.

I'm getting the spooky vibe from the pictures. Not sure if that's what you're trying to do, but that's what I got.

Excellent shots, too!

Sugarmouse 02-08-2008 03:06 AM

wow!I like the last one in your first post, amazing!

I love the first and the fourth photos in particular. Great shots, I can see them as being used for greeting cards or calenders. Great work.
