This was our last Epiphany celebration in Italy. Postponed from last night...it was the biggest one we attended while we were stationed in Italy. Good time, lots of music and happy people...very bittersweet, because of the finality of our time here, the LAST one!!

The fire was probaby 50ftish tall and very hot! The people in the foreground are about 40ft from the base of the fire! The Italians do this every year on 5 Jan, we have had LOTS of rain for the past couple nights so it was postponed until tonight. I am pretty bummed but glad to have made it to the fire anyway!

I like the last picture the most. It has a sort of crescendo in the image... if that makes sense in this context...

I prefer the 4th from the top. It's just enough time lapse to still show some detail with the curl at the top.
