Over the coming weeks...many folks will decorate the home to scare the shit outa kids....or just to be festive. Some might be your own home, some just a really cool display down the street. Thing is....we have a street here that is absolutely amazing, and its getting set up more and more every day. I intend to shoot it, and post the results in here, and you WILL be amazed.

The cops were posted on both ends...and it was one huge party...woo hoo

there's nothing like that around here anymore. the backyard neighbors used to go all out, but one year some things got stolen

i sometimes miss the old neighborhood back in Ormond Beach (here in florida)... we lived on a decent-sized cul-de-sac and a cop lived in the house on one of the front corners to the road, and any time the street wanted to do something big, he'd just pull his cruiser into the middle of the intersection to block off access to the street and we'd have big block parties for halloween, labor day, 4th of july, etc. People from all over the neighborhood at large would come in and there'd be a bunch of barbecues going, people playing sports and running around in the street. It was really nice. Of course, I was also 10-14 at the time, so I enjoyed it more as a kid than a "grown up" social event.

I love that people still go mad with Halloween decorations. Glad to see it, what a fun neighborhood that must be.
