Critics will be trully appreciated. Thanks.
Hi TFP community.
I'm new to this forum and I joined it because I saw this closed space in which I could share my photography work. I don't have access to all of my photographs at the moment but I'll sure post them later. For now, I'll leave a couple of pictures for you to see. I'll be truly thankful by having you to be critics of my photography work. See ya! - Marchi-C.M.M. Note: All of my works preserve the same composition as in the originals. The only things I do to my photos is, in some cases, cropping and in most of them (not all) stronger contrast, enhance/decrease the shadows and saturation/desaturation of colors. I've never liked the idea of calling "Photography work" to an image totally manipulated by software and practically being a very new composition from the original and that's what I never do for my photography. Else, I would call it "Digital Design" or whatever its appropriate for the result. Thanks. _______________________________________________________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Whoa... you've got some beautiful "photography work" there. I love the first one of the rocks. Great color. I like the second one... nice abstract feel to it.
Of the three, the cactus is the most recognizable, but it's my least favorite. You can see the JPEG artifacts surrounding the needles. |

I really like the first one. Has an almost psychedelic quality to it.

First shot looks good. Perhaps a little overexposed, but thats my own tastes.
Second shot it looks like you had quite a bit of red channel blowout. Most digital cameras have problems with the red channel, so its something to watch out for. Third shot has the Jpeg artifacts, however its hard to say if its because it was saved low quality, oversharpened or a bit of both. |

The last two black and white have too much contrast--you lose a lot of detail in the lights and darks and I feel it detracts from the subject rather than complementing it. The first one has good composition and midtones.
