Last one isn't Iceland, but Sherwood Forest in Nottingham :)

I'm not really sure what is going on with the image sizes, the host seems to be changing them. Anyone know a good host for storing photos?

Great shots, and I have to agree with going with flickr.

What building is that? I really like the shot of the houses. I love the layout of that shot with the sky dominating the photo. I'm not sure if that's the effect you were going for, but that Sherwood forest seems like it needs a bit more contrast.

Great pics. Iceland is super-photogenic :).

The big building is Hallgrímskirkja, the main church in Reykjavík and I believe the tallest building in Iceland. If you go up there, you can look at the city from all four directions - it's pretty cool.

As for the houses, these are located on the edge of the Tjörnin, the central pond. According to my Icelandic friend, they are some of the most expensive houses in Iceland because of their location.

And hopefully next month Abaya and I will be living in Reykjavík! :)

Nice photos! Interesting architecture on that church :) Wouldn't mind a vacation to Iceland one bit :D (now to get the money...)

Well, you learn something new everyday :) Thanks for all the encouraging comments, still only just getting into Photography. I have some of a very recent trip to Dusseldorf which i may post later also if interested.

Looks like an army from lord of the rings is assembling on the far right in the second pic. That waterfall is breathtaking.

Strokkur, eh. I don't miss you so much but have to visit you on the way to Gullfoss.

In all my visits I don't recall going inside the church. I'm looking forward to being there in a month or so....

I can't wait.

Totally loving these pix... #2 is my favorite because of the misty effect coming off the water. Makes me want to grab the back pack and head north!
