More self-photography will come as I create it. Feedback is most welcome.

I dig the subway picture, especially since you're alone in the frame. It's almost like you were surprised by taking your own picture.

It's kind of hard to concentrate on the artistic value of the shot when the viewer is distracted by the stunning beauty of the model, but I will try.

The last photo is my favorite. My eyes are drawn to the little metal girl up top, then pulled down along the white lines of the ipod wires. The angle of your hand. The angle of your collar. It all works.

They're all beautifully done. All the pics except the last one - where you're not looking directly at the camera - make me stare right back at you, into your eyes. For the longest time. I don't know why that is, but I'm sure it's a good thing.

if you take a pinata and stuff it with adorable, I bet supple would come out.

The color effects are nice, the focus can be helped (some are self shots so that can be hard)

You're adorable!

I'm going to give feedback on my 2 favorite shots here, since I don't want to spend forever going over all of them.

First off, you're a very photogenic person so taking photos of you would be fun and easy.

My favorite shots are the first one and the last one.

If I could change anything in the first shot, it would be to remove the loose strands of hair that are covering your face. In fact, I would love to see this one re-shot exactly as it is with the right side of your face uncovered.

The last shot I like a lot as is, though I might try a bit of color correction. The contrast and noise are great for this shot, as is the pose.

I like the second photo in the second post. The color is amazing and the contrast between your white shirt and dark hair is very eye catching. also, the focus and angle of your eyes is stunning.

thank you for sharing yourself, lovely.

Great shots!! Your eyes are so full of emotion, it's like watching a story unfold that spans a lifetime in just one small click of a button.

Out of all of them, (if I have to pick) I like the subway one the best. Something about the tone that's set with the empty care and the combination of your ipod wires and your expression.. so good.

Good poses ! Nice styles !

I like the last photo the best because it is not like the others and my mind keeps wondering about the emotions that may or may not be going on. The rest of the photos seem unemotional, which is ok, when you think of prositute photos with money as it has that political slam going on. That said, the picture with the little metal sun on the face is a little better than I thought it was the first time I looked at it. Anyway, art criticism is mostly all about how much art the viewer has seen already and I have seen tons, so keep up the good work ! *smile*

Okay, you've got a good eye. My personal opinion is that it could be refined though, as all artists can.
First of all, I would like to see better focus in your images. Some of them are better than others and I know that it is hard to focus properly when shooting yourself but it is possible (I do self photography all the time). The best thing is to invest in a tripod and that will allow you to set yourself up a little farther away from the camera and use a timer. A tripod is one of the single best things to use as a photographer and you can use it until it breaks so it is worth the money. Also, you can try to shoot with a smaller aperture which will give you more depth of field and a better chance that what you're shooting (you) will be in focus.
From the quality I'm going to say that it looks like you are shooting with a point and shoot camera. Am I correct? You should see if you can change the ISO that your camera is using and this will minimize the grain. It's usually somewhere in the menu but I can't tell you exactly where. This will force you to use slower exposures and a tripod will help alot with that as well. Overall your photos will look much better though.
As far as composition goes, try experimenting with the framing so that you are not always centered. This will make your photos look more like art and less like pictures. Also, try very hard not to put light things in corners. This is happening consistently in your photos, partly because of where your hair is or where your head is. It is hard to avoid this when you are shooting but that doesn't mean that you can't crop your photos in photoshop or something similar. The idea is that this distracts the eye from what is important about the picture.
The subway photo is probably your best. If you look at that one compared to the other ones you can see a difference in composition. Your face is not really centered and you also have lines that are leading the eyes to your face. This is why it is more apealing to the eye so practice trying things like that.
Sorry, if you know all of this but I'm unfamiliar with your work so I figured I should say it. Personally I like people telling me these things because they will help you more than simply saying that I like it. Continue posting, I look forward to seeing you progress!

Sweet! It had been a while since I ducked in here and to find this thread is a real treat. I am so glad you put some of these back up as I thought they rocked originally. I know from experience how hard it is to make self-portraits turn out the way you "see" them in your mind.

These are so well done and so very artistic. The photographer in you has a very photogenic subject and a lot of talent. I look forward to more.
