Here is your next photo assignment, should you choose to accept it.

Insects

The spiders from prior weeks are the inspiration for this week.. Let's see some beautiful creepy crawlers...

Don't forget to add in suggestions for next week's assignment...


The Guidelines:

Pictures
**How you interpret the theme is entirely up to you.
**Pics should be taken during the assignment period not just yanked out of your portfolio.

**We're looking for natural images. Some post processing is ok (colour correction, redeye reduction, contrast etc), but no gross manipulation, on occasion we will have an assignment that calls for differing kinds of manipulation. However, for the most part, think "natural."
**Give your photo a title, it just sounds cooler that way.
**Remember the basic rules of Tilted Photography and the TFP: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=46601



Comments
**Comments have to (and this part is critical) have substance. -----That is to say; "That foto r0xxor!!," just ain't gonna cut it.
Think more along the lines of:
-----That photo would be better if....
-----That subject's eyes would be better lit if you did....
**Comments should have a constructive edge to them, we're trying to improve here not just stroke each other's egos (but do be nice).
**Please comment on as many photos as you can, prefereably every one. No one likes to feel left out.
**After making your comment please make suggestions for next week's assignment. I will take all the suggestions and select one randomly and/or at the suggestion of the community.

**My overiding vision for this game/exersize/whetever, is to improve our skills as photographers. Regardless of your skill or ability we want everyone to contribute.**
**This is an experiement, the processes and guidelines are up for debate**

I took some pretty rad close-ups of a dead june bug I found on my back porch 2-3 weeks ago... that's all I've got. I don't snap insect portraits everyday. If I can post that, then I will. If not, then I won't. Either way, I will look forward to seeing all the creepy crawlies. : )

I knew we left that squished centipede there for a reason-the photo assigment!!

OK! Here's the BIG ol' June bug found DEAD (thankfully haha!) on our back porch last month.
I found the irridescent underside all too fascinating.
The top shell side has all kind of dings & scratches.
He must've lived a warrior kind of life! haha

Oh & good job Billy Ocean. I have not yet been able to catch a moth or butterfly.
They are too flighty & fast & I am too slow! :(

Great shot BearNaked, Spiders normally don't give me the heebie-jeebies, but caught the moment right there.

Not that I mind, but Spiders aren't insects.
