Bird Photography
Bird photography has to be one of the most challenging subjects there is. I thought I would share a couple of recent ones (critiques are most welcome, also feel free to critique my newish photoblog, here). Both photos were taken with a Nikon D70, Nikon 300 F4 with a 1.4x teleconverter.
Here's a Swainson's Hawk photographed at Pawnee National Grassland in NE Colorado: Here's a Snowy Egret flight shot from a park in Greeley, CO near where I grew up: |

the hawk is beautiful - how close were you to her/him (i didn't look under it's skirt) when you took the pic? those talons do mean business...
the wings on the egret in flight are also really cool - you can see such detail... very nice
