Bird Photography
Bird photography has to be one of the most challenging subjects there is. I thought I would share a couple of recent ones (critiques are most welcome, also feel free to critique my newish photoblog, here). Both photos were taken with a Nikon D70, Nikon 300 F4 with a 1.4x teleconverter.
Here's a Swainson's Hawk photographed at Pawnee National Grassland in NE Colorado: http://static.flickr.com/44/131085218_776f6817c0.jpg Here's a Snowy Egret flight shot from a park in Greeley, CO near where I grew up: http://static.flickr.com/74/162757428_5253666d19.jpg |
dude..........the hawk is sweet.........
man....the talons on him are crazy. thanks for playin'. |
the hawk is beautiful - how close were you to her/him (i didn't look under it's skirt) when you took the pic? those talons do mean business... :)
the wings on the egret in flight are also really cool - you can see such detail... very nice |
I love the shot of the egret in flight. The background is fantastic.
