suggestions for next week: make the topic of the assignment big and bold at the top of the first post to avoid confusion, then have the suggestions after it in a follow up post, midweek maybe?
and for topic ideas, the rest of the human senses: touch, smell, hear.... i can just imagine the interesting photos that come up  in response to the red vette above: |
Poppies

Are we all sure that these are taken during the assignment period, and not just yanked out of your portfolio?

I know mine is, because I drank that fine beast 2~3 nights ago.

Mine is. They just bloomed a few days ago.

Title : Under a broken Sun (taken 4 hours ago) http://www.trentchau.com/brokensun.jpg |
that looks like a postcard Koni - very cool... Ilove how the bridge disappears into the sun glare.. you don't realize how big that bridge is until you see that little boat in the corner...
|
As for suggestions...
- Statue / monument - Double exposure... Not sure if everyone would be able to do this, but it could be interesting - Something found in your kitchen - "let's get SMALL" - something smaller than your thumb - Doors - Machanism... - something's moving parts or innards. - dead... - Something that was once alive Quote:

Yankee Girl
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ankeeGirl1.jpg Yankee Girl Mine, in front of Red Mountain, near Ouray, CO A question, this shot was exposure hell and the best of many tries. On my wife's 35mm, I'd use a gradient filter to darken the sky while leaving the trees alone. Hers didn't fit my camera (yes, I'll buy one eventually), is there a digital way to get the same result? Nikon D200 Nikkor 17-55mm 1:2.8 38mm f5.0 1/90 ISO100 Quote:
The one week window doesn't work for me. My options are to keep the assignments in mind when I get a chance to play with my camera or don't participate. |
How about a red Ferrari from the Mid-ohio American Lemans race.

Stan, a really nice photo of Yankee Girl. I wish I had paid more attention to the articles that had mentioned the name, while planning my trip out west. I crossed over Red Mountain and stayed the night in Ouray just last week. The sky wasn't very good while I was there, but I would have loved to have seen Yankee Girl. Thanks for sharing.

http://students.unca.edu/basmith/Files/red%202.jpg JumpinJesus, I love your pigeon picture. I've always loved 'linear' photography like that, and I think it takes a good eye to make it work. |
