Black and White Photography
I learnt how to develop black and white film this year and have been getting some more practice recently. Here are a couple of photos from the last roll I did. The film I use is Ilford HP5 PLUS 400. Tell me what you think

I love black and white. Would love to learn how to develop film, but the professor I was recommended to said why bother, digital is the way to go. But there's something to be said about film, not the least of which is you can go as large as you want with a photo.
Good work!! |
THe first one is a little too bright on the left hand side, prob the lighting from the initial shot taken.
2nd one looks good, did you use a filter with this? If not then use a 3 or 4 filter and it imo will come out alot more contrasted in the face Nice work tho, keep em comming |

2nd one no I didn't use a filter because I don't have one. What is a 3 or 4 filter anyway? thanks! |
I like the high key look of the first shot. You seem to have a touch with B&W lets see some more.
ngdawg. go ahead and learn to use a darkroom. I have spent many happy hours in one. It gives you a sense of control and accomplishment that you don't get by just clicking a button. |
