Easter Legos
We put goodies inside plastic eggs and hide them. Our kids will find a few eggs with candy inside, but the vast majority of the eggs will contain Legos. A couple will have hotwheels. There wil be a smattering of stickers.
This does several good things. 1) Legos and hotwheels are shared toys, so the whole sharing concept is reinforced 2) fulfills their (peer-created) expectation for candy, but keeps the sugar-fueled freakout to a minimum 3) provides gifts that last longer than a chocolate bunny.
