Story Tapes/Cds...
I didn't know where to put this...
My wife has started playng story tapes (on our once a week break nights) to our baby and he drifts asleep like a charm. She recalls her mother playin story tapes when she was young and enjoyed (me too if I don't drift off before she does) when we were dating and when she had a hard time falling asleep before the baby. One tape that she REALLY enjoys was "Wolves On Willoughby Chase" by Loan Aiken (?). I'd buy it for her but apparently it's no longer available. If anyone has a .wmv or point me to a reputable seller in Toronto ON I would be in debt to you. Thanks, Wilson Last edited by actinic; 03-19-2005 at 08:51 PM.. |

Amazon has the storybook, though a first edition book would probably be a better gift.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...575432-6807023 (so did a lot of places) You could always record yourself reading the story. (BTW - I think it's really sweet that you'd do this for her... Major cool husband points for you)

I know derektor, classic Disneys are pretty damn expensive these days. I found a bunch of Dr. Seuss's at a garage sale that I happen to park in front of while seeing a client. A real score and childhood flashbacks.
Thanks for the link maleficent. I must have been on crack that night to miss that place, LMFAO. I haven't been able to find and audio but I'm going to get the book and read it into the 'puter and burn it. I guess I'll have to read it before recording it so I can get the expressions and antonations right. I wonder how long it's going to take me to do this...LOL. Thanks again for the input . Wilson |
