The Subconscious - what? (Awareness, Dreams, and other shit)
Ok this is a quick and sloppy little theory that I have been forming in my head for a while. I am not convinced that the conscious and the sub conscious are two separate entities. It makes sense to me to refer to it as one whole thing.
So what is that thing that makes you do things without thinking about them? What makes you say things unexpectedly? That's your consciousness of course, but who says that all that shit has to be uncontrollable? I'm thinking of the subconscious as an adjustable line in the middle of your consciousness that either limits or expands to adjust to your awareness. What is awareness? It's your eyes turned inward at yourself, asking questions and finding out exactly what it is that you're doing. It's self-honesty and lack of denial. It's accepting everything that goes on. To sum it up, I propose that the more aware you are of yourself and the more honest you are with yourself (and others) the less of a subconscious you have. It makes sense to me, being aware of everything that goes on. Dreams? What are those? I don't dream often at all. When I do dream, it is because of discomfort, which is mostly physical. I can't link dreams and subconscious, honestly, because they dont exist within me. Now I'm not saying "This is how you should live your life" because quite honestly the world would get bored out of it's mind if it worked like I do. It's all just my theory about how things work. I need to get some more subjects to study and question to be sure.

i've sworn off debating "what am I" and other conscience reasonings. we shall see if I lie to myself and join the frey.
as for dreams. i'll get back to you on that.see, I dream every single night. i'm not exagerrating. question: are you tired when you go to bed? physically drained? see, due to my living conditioning i go to bed way too early and when i sleep i rebuild the little strength i am allowed to have. my energy turns into dreams most nights, my moods change them to fit....... its a very frightening thing. |

My dreams are vivid, using all of the senses.
And I mostly dream everynight, the only time I don't is when I'm exhausted. And although I'm very "in tune" with myself, I'm sure there are aspects that I'm not literally aware of, but still affect my desires and intentions. These grow as you grow, and absorb the events that happen to you throughout life. Some obvious, some repressed, some literally contradicting each other. (you want your cake & to eat it to) And these also help you adjust your views vs. society's views. It's very interesting how many layers there are of a person's persona. Sorry, I'm going to have to humbly disagree at least as to when it involves myself. I'm not sure of others, I'm sure it's different for each person. |
