Mom's chores are easy
I just had to share this! This morning we were deciding who would do what chore for the weekend. My eleven-year-old thinks my chores are easier than hers, so she announced, "I'll do laundry." Even though I already had already sorted the laundry and started a load, I said, "okay, then I'll clean the kitchen." That wasn't good enough for her. She said, "No, I'll clean the kitchen and you vacuum." (We had already agreed that I would pay the bills and grocery shop -- so I only needed to pick one more chore. Sister was dusting and putting away belongings.) Knowing I was getting off easy, I asked, "Are you sure? That is an awful lot of work."
She was positive. After all, "your chores are the easiest chores mom." Well, it is now several hours later and she is finally getting to the last load of laundry. She has begged me to do the chore for her -- but I've already done all the other chores -- so I keep saying, "no, you chose it." I love it when kids learn life lessons! And I get to sit back and enjoy! What are some of your life lesson stories?
