Personal Philosophy
 

We talk about a lot of heavy things on this thread, so I thought it would be nice to take a little bit less serious look at philosophy.

So everyone post their personal philosophy in 50 words or less.

mine so far: Identify those things that are truely important and let everything else slide (yes I stole it from somewhere).

Everything happens for a reason.
Everything will be a-okay.
Perspective is a choice.
Perspective means everything.
Success is the result of opportunity meeting preparation. And luck.

26 words.

God is good and loving.
We are all a part of God and God is a part of us.
We are hear to learn, grow, and serve.
We are all entitled to travel our roads and seek our own truths as long as they don't hurt or disregard the self-worth of others.

Let it ride.
Its better to regret what you have done,
Than what you haven't.
Life is short, Live it up.

Shit Happens then you die
Always expect the worst and be pleasanty surprised
Trust no one.
think long and hard then act

Everything teaches
adversity creates strength
happiness is found in personal growth
everything happens for a reason,
it is up to the individual to KNOW the reason

Life is pain, Pain is knowledge, Knowledge is life.

Do not hurt Yourself
Do not hurt Others
Do not hurt Things
Give God the Glory
Love fiercely and Truly
Honor your Friends and Family
Pray for your Enemies
Forgive

Self and Other are the same.

That, and the Panglossian "This is the best of all possible worlds."

Perception is Reality.
You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
You catch the wrong flies with shit.
You are who you associate with.
You are what others perceive you to be.
You hold the key to your own fate.
Treat everyone with respect, you don't know what kind of day they've had.
Don't be afraid to tell someone that they've done a great job.
Proof-read.
If you have a problem, sleep on it. If you can't sleep on it, calm down and use your best judgement.
If you have a choice of doing something yourself and having someone else do it, consider how valuble your time is. Yeah, you may save money initially, but you're time and sanity are both expensive, and hard to recoup.
Don't buy cheap toilet tissue.
Spend more time 'doing' than 'wishing'.

Don't wate your time trying to figure out what your personal philosophy is.

Never fuck a friend. Everything else is a matter of circumstance.

Life is like a military campaign. There are some battles, sometimes you get leave (though not often enough), but it's mostly marching.

It is impossible to shift blame; blame, guilt, and responsibility are matters taking place inside human beings singly and _nowhere_ else

Life is dichotomy.
