higher being: caring watcher, evil bastard, or otherwise
i recently came to conclusion that there is a higher being. i have really no evidence to explain or prove this, other than why else do i exist. i can't force myself to believe the idea that the higher being is any kind of god or devil that is acknowledged in society today. i'm just curious as to the beliefs of others on the nature of this higher being: is it "kind and loving watcher", such as the christian contemporary god, the wrathful and demanding god of the old testament, a non-sentient entity that exists around the life force and basic existence of EVERYTHING, or were we placed here as a cosmic experiment, or joke? please don't be mistaken that my inacceptance of these beliefs is to invalidate or refute them, or even to look down on them or judge them, i just choose to believe differently. what do you think?

None of the above.
Intimate Lover. |
intimate lover.........care to elaborate? as in, spiritually, or the higher being is a representation of sexuality......that came out wrong, i can't express the idea linearly, but if you want to expand, go right ahead

That person in your life who means all to you. That you mean everything to. That knows you better than yourself. That makes you a better person for just being in your life. Whom you confide all to. Who loves you even when you have morning breath and haven't washed yet. Who would make passionate, intimate, tender love to you all night long. This is who God is. |
Look into yourself, Grasshopper.

I have no way of knowing this sort of thing.
I find it astounding that others have this ability. |
Benevolent indifference.

If I had to use one word to describe a possible God, it would have to be.... indifferent.

Lebell -- very Sufi. Some Sufi thinkers say you can't know God unless you've been in love -- that the relationship with God is all about being in love, from both sides.
Some Sufis tend to be bliss-out types, literally drunk on God. But the more mature believer, to quote somebody roughly, lives in the everyday world, marries, buys and sells in the marketplace -- and never takes his eyes off God for a single moment. |
