Movies that put the whole family into hysterics.
Share them here.
For mine I just can't go past Shrek and will cherish forever the pair of us rolling around the floor in fits of laughter with Eddie Murphy's "donkey role". Both "Toy story" flicks were a hoot too.(The dinosaur cracks my boy up big time). There is nothing better than sharing moments like these with your kids. |
Gotta go with Monsters inc for the boy child, wants to see it every couple hours.
The girl(4) for some reason just loves mystery men and galaxyquest, go figure. |
Finding Nemo
|
Yes, i highly agree on Finding Nemo and Shrek, but addictive to children, you do end up either leaving the room or subconciously lipsyncing the lines...........

any thing by pixar

Max Keebles Big Move is one that I haven't seen mentioned much, my kids love this movie and i found myself myself laughing throughout it also.

Schindler's List. WOOT! Oh, the little tykes get such big eyes, they MUST be laughing on the inside.

We just got the loony tunes collection! I'm loving it but it's so violent and it stereotypes a lot! Think it's too much for a 5 year old? It didn't hurt me but I'm still a bit fearful.

Shrek is the bomb. Everyone in my family loves it and you cannot watch it too often.
My 6 year old is also obsessed with movies about animals and real situations( Far from home: Adventures of Yellow dog, and Fly Away Home ) |
My daughter and her 3 yr old friend both LOVE the mini movie "Scrat" that comes with the IceAge DVD. They laugh their heads off all the way through. It's short too so they get their TV fix quickly and run off to play agian.
|
With mine, it's Ice Age. That saber toothed squirrel is pure genius. It's an existentialist fable on par with Camus, and the first time I saw it, I couldn't stop laughing. The kids love it too. My wife, however, just doesn't get the humor in absurdity, which you would think she would given her penchant for Ben Stiller movies.

Ok, I'll be serious now. Scrat (the mini movie with Ice Age) is great for my kids and me. But the other cartoon on the DVD, the one with the elderly buddy crawling into the oven / dying...um, that's not so good.
Does anyone have any experiece showing Shrek to a 3-year old? I'm not sure about that one. We tried watching The Iron Giant together and the first few scenes scared my son, so we turned it off. All those shots of the robot make him look very menacing and huge, and I think it made my son feel very intimidated. (Another parental screw-up, thankyouverymuch) |

Yeah South Park is for MUCH later!
