Why is this thread so hard for people to understand? I think the point is obvious.

The same incredulity you feel for believing that rsl12 is God is exactly the same incredulity that athiests feel for the Christian God (and others, I'm sure), for both are equally provable. That is to say, neither of these assertions can be proven, at all. At the same time, neither of these things can be disproven. In fact, these assertions have so little bearing on reality that there existence cannot even be debated rationally.

Let me say it in plain words. Any rebuttal to refutations that there is a God can be used to rebut refutations that rsl12 is God.
Sorry, in retrospect, those words weren't so plain. I know people have trouble with double negatives and esoteric word tenses, so I'll really try it say it even more plainly. All arguments used to defend the existence of God can be used to defend that rsl12 is God. Therefore, believing in God is about as useful as believing that rsl12 is God...

Having faith in god can be compared to having faith that the sun is going to come up tomorrow. Neither are verifiable by any current scientific means(unless you can travel through time, and even then you could never actually get to tomorrow).
Any argument that could be used to challenge the existence of god, or rsl's status as god, could be modified to challenge the notion that the sun will indeed rise tomorrow. And yet we all still make plans as if the world will still exist in 24 hours.

All you've succeeded in doing is pointing out the fact that all of existence is faith based.

I don’t believe this thread tries to prove that faith is mistaken. It shows that our faith in certain things cannot be justified. Though the fact that Rsl12 is God is justified because I can feel the truth behind the statement.

Mantus does have it right--my main point is that the currently accepted notions of god make it impossible to argue in any fashion for or against his existence. Cynics may question why this is the case, since the definition of the christian god has changed in the last few centuries, but that's a question I leave for another thread.
