Is it possible?

I've heard that travel forwards can work, but backwards isn't possible.

I heard you need to not weigh anything and have to be going the speed of light.

So, yes. It's not just possible, it's easy!

I think time travel could work backwards. You'd just change everything in the past. Bam.

Wait, no. Time trave is definitly not possible, cause if it were, somebody would have come from the future by now and given us the technolongy!

Maybe only robots could withstand the terrible rigors of time travel? I wouldn't trust a robot to kill hitler.

Okay, I was just thinking about this and if you tried to go back in time to kill your grandfather before he could father your father, wouldn't that mean that you would never be born so you couldn't go back in time to kill your grandfather?

Well, haven't you seen those Terminator movies? The robots kill everyone! maybe there is no future to visit, thanks to those robots.

Or what if you could only time-travel into like, gateways, so time-travel in the past isn't possible UNTIL we perfect it our era?

I recall reading somewhere about the use of black holes to travel through time.

What if there are alternate universes?

Black holes are just theoretical. Nobody knows if they really exist.

Assuming there were an infinite number of alt universes, and you could travel between them, wouldn't there be an infinite number of universes traveling to ours?

If you go the speed of light, I think you just can't see anything. Like when you break the sound barrier, you can't hear anything? Its the light barrier.

I had this idea about time travel a while ago, which I think is a sensible way of finding out if it can ever be done.

We erect a huge monument that will forever remain standing, and we write the date of completion on it. We put the text: "here, on (date), the very first time travellers ever appeared" on it. Then, theoretically, as soon as the monument is complete, people should show up and prove once and for all that time travel is possible.

But, what if fate doesn't exist? Does that mean time travel is impossible without fate?

BUT WHAT IF you require like a teleporter to go back in time.

they have one in the future
we don't have one in the present

until we build a door or gateway, they can't visit us and we can't visit them

Oh, I see. Yeah, but by the time we make a portal... uh... that means that we could travel in time ourselves. IT'S A CATCH 22!

Anywho... Maybe time travel IS fate, in a sense. Maybe everything we do is fate, and any deviation is time travel!

Technically, as we observe time going forward right now, aren't we time traveling FORWARD?

So, everyone can time travel, we just can't control it. Or maybe we can, thats why childhood seems longer, than the rest of your life! Maybe, people will learn to master the very flow of time...

I doubt it.

You can't always rely on fate

Okay that's just crazy because if it's fate, isn't it bound to happen? Like destiny? So of course you can count on it.

Thats very profound... A good argument against fate. Maybe time is the counter to free will.

Assuming you went beyond the speed of light, wouldn't you become god?

That is an interesting analogy tonic. If you could go beyond the speed of light, and reap the time traveling rewards that that entails, you could reshape the world and essentially be a god!
