Paranoia: a contradiction in survival
. . . . . . . . .
Mods, Close this thread please. Thank you |
Hmmm....I think fear is completely natural. Fight or flight etc. I think it is built in and fear actually prevents us from getting killed etc. For example, fear leads us to less risky decisions.
EX: Fear of heights, one is less likely to climb a tree and fall down or walk near the edge of a cliff and fall off. EX: Fear of the water, one is less likely to swin out in deeper or more dangerous waters. In other words, fear acts as a self-defense mechanism, a heightened awareness. Fear can also be extreme such as phobias and lead to irrational behavior. I will think about it some more and check in later. |
Fear exists for a reason. Thing is, it has to be a healthy fear, some might say not even so much fear as just an ability to sense danger or that something's not right edge in the air.

Run away! Run away!! OP actually gave me a moment of paranoia.
Whether or not it works for one is a personal decision, yes? Unless, as stated, one has no control over their thoughts... |
