Good job, dads

Good job to all the real men out there, the dads getting it done for the sake of your kids. You know who you are! I hoist a beer in your name today.

I've got two boys, almost 13 and 11. They are the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I love being a dad.

My oldest went on his first date last night. Called the girl, made arangements to meet, asked his old man for some cash, went to the carnival, came home at ten. I couldn't be prouder!

I got my dad a card. Me and him never really do the present thing, even on BDays and Christmas

I have yet to call him. I’m kinda putting that off. He was a great dad in the fact that he provided for me and my sisters, but only really did the bare minimum when it comes to parenting. I don’t have any wonderful memories of his, except the few times we went the Seahawk games.

I’ve known the guy for 30 years and really don’t feel like I know him at all. Unfortunately my sister feel the same way. I haven’t talked to him in a good three of four months. Were not on bad terms or anything, we just have ZERO in common and struggle for things to talk about.

This might be sad to say, but I learned to do the complete opposite with my daughters.

I will be the good son and call him. I know we we'll both feel better after I do.

Edit:
I called and a lot better than I thought
