This is my first baby. We had the ultrasound yesterday, and now I'm just overly excited. My hunny has been awesome, too... waits on me hand and foot to the point where I feel bad and try to stop him.

we didn't know the gender of either of our kids till they were born....it's more fun that way
plus my sister had 2 ultrasounds....the first time they said it was a boy, the second time they said it was a girl...

Congratulations! Fantastic news!
Make sure that you see all the movies that you're interested in sometime in the next 18-21 weeks since you probably won't be seeing them until they come out on DVD. We didn't peek either, but my wife was absolutely sure that it was a boy. We bought everything in gender neutral colors, which ended up being a gigantic pain in the ass. And when you're ready to go into labor but haven't yet, you can "reward" your partner with the only scientifically proven way to induce without drugs. The exact same thing that got you into this "predicament" will get you out. Good luck!

Congrats!! I didnt opt to find out with my daughter either
Hint...if at all possible...eat before you go to the hospital, because once you get there its nothing but ice chips until the baby is born. I woke up with contractions on a sunday morning and sent my hubby to get me two chicken biscuits (cause I had been warned too). I ate them at 8 am....I didnt get food again until 10 o clock that nite

I feel bad for the doctor/nurse that makes me go without food for that long. haha.
In regards to Derwood... I have boy stuff AND girl stuff at this point, so I'm reeeeeeeally happy either way. We got a REALLY clear picture of his junk though.. so I'd be surprised of it changed. hahahahah

Congrats Sillygirl Being a Mom is an awesome experience. And I agree...eat before you get there, and have hubby get you some small munchies. Just don't chew on hard candy while having a contraction!

Congrats! When I was expecting my twins, we said we didn't want to know what they were and I was convinced I was having two boys. It wasn't until my 26th week sonogram(was having them every 4 weeks) that the tech said she could see what they were and asked if I wanted to know. Without thinking, I blurted out a YES! and a day after Christmas, when we got together with all my family, we 'introduced' my boy and girl to everyone
