my uncle and his family moved into a house by a lake. I stayed with them 1 month after they moved in. I was on the computer chatting with my cousin and all of a sudden i feel a small quake or something, then hear a bunch of things falling. I freak out a little. I decided to look around and see if there was any damage. I round the hallway and notice on the alter (im catholic) that all the pictures and statues of the virgin mary have fallen face down. i go up stairs and same thing (the family was a really devote catholic family with ties to fatima beliefs). All the statues of Mary fell down. The statues of Jesus and my cousin's anime action figures and scale models were still standing. I freaked out... then i went downstairs and i headed toward the garage (the garage door was closed but the metal door that leads into the garage was open) It was pitch black. I was about 4 to 5 steps from the garage and the metal door slammed in front of me. I screamed like a little girl. Am I just being paranoid?

Well considering this is the paranoia board, there could be some of that aspect to it. This incident however sounds very creepy. A quake that only knocks down one specific item (or figure in this case) seems suspicious. I could understand just the figurines of Mary falling down (I've seen very few), but I assume that some of them have smaller bases, so that they have a higher centre of gravity, and thus a quake or rumble could possibly bring them down. However, you also mentioned that the photos of Mary were knocked down as well. I assume they were most likely in a frame that was propped up with one of those normal frame holders. Something like that being knocked over from a simple rumble seems unlikely.

Just out of curiosity, what was it that compelled you to go to the garage afterwards? Was there any other religious material in the garage? If there is something fishy going on in the cabin what would need protecting in the garage?

It's hard to say what it is really. It could be a large string of coincidences (freakishly close coincidences mind you), or it could be something else that doesn't particularily enjoy the virgin Mary. IT would require a little more information though.

Dont technically bawn him. it was a good story and it has NOTHING to do with the surface area of the base, u dont think if the mary figures have small bases dont u think the jesus ones do too? what about the pictures? gotcha! dont mean to be mean. i just felt like a good story shouldnt be owned by science, considering i hate science

Maybe someone was made that you had graven images in the house even though it clearly states in the Bible that you shouldnt have any. Read specifically what it says. No graven images of anyone, anything, on heaven, on earth, or in the water. Thats not word for word but the short version of the commandment.

Oh i understand that... I went to a non-denominational Christian School for 3 years. The family itself was hardcore catholic.
