My friend and his wife went to a quaint New Hampshire bed and breakfast in the white mountains for a weekend away. They had been to this inn a few times before, but had never stayed in "the Saltbox" before (it happens to be the oldest house in town-1738 I think is the date on the side of the house). They went to bed at about 11 pm shutting off all lights. At midnight my friend woke up and noticed the reading lamp was on across the room, so he got up and shut it off. At about 2 am he noticed it was on again, he was freaked but not too much, he figured it was just a bad switch in the lamp so he unplugged it. He went back to sleep and another hour later woke up to find the UNPLUGGED lamp on! He was totally freaked out when he confirmed the light was indeed unplugged. He unscrewed the bulb, the lights went out and there he was in the dark. Given his freaked out state the dark was the last place he wanted to be, so he turned the room lights on and the lamp was plugged back in. They left the next morning and they've been back since, but he won't stay in that building anymore.
