LOGAN SNAKE:
Thats about as unbelievable as they come. If what you were told was true that is as scary as it is amazing. I think the wierdest story I was told was about this guy who lives not far from my grandparents and is friends with my uncle. Apparently in this guys house exists some sort of gateway/portal to the unknown. He actually witnesses it open on rare occasions and sees stuff come out of it. He claims he has even stuck his head in the portal and was able to peer into this other realm. I think this guy is probably smoking crack and needs to get video or photographic evidence. Until then he is a crack smoker with a great imagination - but a frightening tale he has managed to tell. |
The reason I believe in loose energies is because I've lived in the same room with one from when I as 7 until I was 13.
My grandfather on my father's side lived with his wife across the street from the place my family lived at. They had a big apartment and all. When my mom had a second child, the place we lived at became too small and we asked if we could move in with them. My grandfather, pretty much hating mom's side of the family, refused. He wouldn't let us in for about 2 years. Around the end of two years he baceme ill and had a fatal heart attack About a month after he died, my family moved in with my dad' mother. It seemed that my grandfather's will to not let us live there was so strong that he unwillingly (or willingly) kept reminding us that he did not want us there. About once or twice a week for 6 years at the time when my sister and I went to bed (about 10-11) you could hear noises in my room as if somebody took a table and started dragging it around a wooden floor. The noise was pretty loud and my mom always told me that the neighbors were moving things around. It was later that I found out that neighbors did not make those noises, but something else did. A lot of the times certain items, such as newspapers, would dissapear from the living room table (right in open sight) and no matter how hard we looked for them for a few days, they could not be found. Then they would be back in their place seemingly untouched. I also have a wrist watch that he left for me before he died. He told everyone that the watch is meant for me only. When I wear it, everything is fine. When my dad tries to wear it, he gets headaches and feels light headed about fifteen to thirtyminutes after having the watch on. After about 6 experiments all resulting in the same thing, he stopped wearing them. |
I don't believe in ghosts.
Never have, never will ;) Here's a good page describing the illusion of the Ouija board: http://skepdic.com/ouija.html |
I don't have any personal experiences with ouija boards, and I doubt I'll ever use one. I think I'd be disturbed by using one....my mother also forbade me to use one when I was younger. Very interesting thread.

Yeah my mum told me not to use one too... i reminded her that she doesnt believe in the supernatural and she told me not to tempt fate. But its so fun to tempt fate :)

My grandmother had a really old ouija board. My brother brought it home and put it in his room. When my dad saw it he freaked out and completely destroyed the thing. When we asked him why he did that he said he did not want to talk about it, but it was not something we needed to be messing with... I often wonder if anything like this happend to him, the reaction was too strong to be based on something impersonal.

I'm wondering why the ghosts/gods/energies/whatever don't use alphabet soup to communicate with us - they would have a larger audience.

i only ever had one experience with a ouija board. my cousin had one and we were doing it but i was sorta little, probably 6-8 and i didn't know if i was supposed to be pushing it or what. my cousin got annoyed and we stopped playing with it.
i never went and got one because my mom told me that she is absolutely terrified of them and would throw it out and/or burn it if i ever brought one into the house. |
from past experience my advise is to stay away from ouija boards...you have no control over the spirits you get.ive had bad spirits impersonate good spirits.remember the spirit world see's all and knows all,and the only protection you have is that they cannot read your thoughts.....for your own safety keep them out

By the way Enderfax, I realize that you've been here longer than me, and that there is something to be said for seniority, but my impression was that the point of this forum was to create a mature and open-minded community. I don't pretend to know whether or not this is your usual manner of posting, but it's uncalled for and certainly not either mature or open-minded. [edit] Having gone through and read a some of your other posts, this is really the only one I found that seemed very abrasive. I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to attack you personally, just that I found this post of yours particulary mean-spirited. (no pun intended) |
Love that online board....it doesn't even stop on letters when it spells stuff out :D
