Haunted Places...
Has anyone gone to any haunted sights before? Specifically in cali (so cali preferably)
My friends and I are thinking about taking a road trip at some point and visiting a few. And if anybody knows of some good ones that'd be swell. So as not to make this thread completely useless, I would enjoy it if you all posted your experiances if you've gone to some haunted sights. |
Where I am at now (Ai college dorm in Fort Lauderdale, FL) is haunted. There are claims of hearing someone with high heels walking through the hallways, i have only heard it once.
Its not Cali (sorry about that), but cool to share it at 4:11AM. :) |
I have been to a haunted site, several in Wisconsin. Most notably is what's left of Summerwind. If you run a search on Wisconsin's most haunted house, Summerwind will be one of the first mentioned. I have great pictures that I want to post, but it says I can't post attachments. Why? I've emailed the mods. I can post attachments in Tilted Photography, but not in here. What gives?

I recently read an article on Summerwind, weird stuff.
Check out a local library or bookstore, I know the ones around here got books on local lore and ghost areas in the state. You know, that would be a cool vacation idea. |
Not much help, but I have camped at Borley, by the church (Borley Rectory was, or is, probably the most famous haunted house in Britain, although it was burned down in a shabby insurance fraud after the war)... I got scared by a horse, and a few 100 other noises in the night, but I didnt see anything.
Weapon, I guess some forums dont have photo linking enabled because it doesnt tend to be relevant to the topic and it just makes it easier for people to moderate and use the board. If you posted your pics in photography and gave us the link here, I know I would love to see them and Im sure a lot of others would. |
The house I used to live in was haunted. It didn't help that is was around 150 years old also. Back then it used to be a bar/inn. People stayed there overnight and what not. But the story goes that on November 13, 1884, there was a doctor staying in the house. Somehow he got killed that night.
I don't remember this but my dad used to say that he heard me talking to someone when I was by myself. I do know that there was never any babysitter that would come either. So my GodFather would come and watch me. Well he was upstairs at the bar that we had at the time and something spooked him pretty bad. He ended up falling off the stairs and breaking the railing. He won't ever talk about it either. Another thing I might add, there used to be an alter in the basement. We didn't even know we had a basement. My dad was remodeling and found it. There were pentagrams and all kinds of weird shit. Dad ended up filling the basement with cement. But if we would watch movies at night with all the lights off, I remember on more than one occasion, one of the crosses in the house would turn upside down. It didn't bother me at the time, but now it really scares the shit out me. By the way, this was in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They have torn the house down since then. |
