Interesting pictures, chopped or not. The artist seems to catch all those primordial fears that make us shiver in the night. I dont know about you but if I were walking through the woods and came upon the "figure in the fog" I would probably shit on myself. Having had some experience with a "ghost", I have found that weird things are much better at giving you chill bumps than anything else.

I loved these when I first saw them on the SA forums. The first time through I didnt notice anything wrong in any of the pictures except the reflection of the grey man in the tower. I looked through them again and I saw the creepy monkey things hanging off the tree branches. The flying head made me jump though!

Looks like an amateur film student taking shots for a film location...
I mean the way that some of the pictures were taken then possibly doctored. That would be the most optimistic reason for the camera to be there in the first place. Was that part of the forest private property? I can't imagine someone dropping a camera without either being hauled away by police or having to run away from the police. The hunched over guys... looks like the hole in the wall from Mothman Prophecies, and what Geer's wife drew. That's mainly why I figure it's an ameteur film because any big budget film (if these were for a film) photographers would not have left the camera in the forest. If nothing else these photos are really cool. Inspires me to write something really scary!

lol, if you really found that camera abandoned in a forest, the only logical thing to do would be to take it to the police department and have them check it for prints to find out who the owner is...if someone say "got missing" and you had their camera it might put you in a bad spot.
but most of the stuff posted here is more like comedy than paranormal |

It almost seems that as soon as that picture of the the guy's back (in the reflection), that the person taking the pictures started back down what he was climbing and ran away scarred. Because the last few are blurred and look like taken when they were in a hurry. The last one is taken on the ground, like the person was knocked down. Well that is just a small observation. But it seems they probably were doctored.

All of those links are pretty interesting. I loved reading that Midnight Society page jwoody. I live in the UK and it's made me want to visit New Jersey now cause of all the freaky stuff on that site . That mansion which has been abandoned on that site because of lack of funding or bankruptcy is absolutely amazing. I wouldn't be too suprised if someone hasnt come along and finished it off yet. Truly stunning building.

if they're gonna perpetrate a hoax, they should at least name a camera that could take the pics.
This shot could not have been taken with an S20 because it requires a rapid zoom while the shutter is open. You can only do that with an SLR camera that has manual zoom. |

This series was originall posted on the Something Awful forums under the title "I found a camera in the woods." Since then, ti has spreda like wildfire and everyone on the internet has seen it. If I remember correctly it's a side project done as part of a college art project and a promo for a guy's business. It's all fake, and the location was found and posted by Cervantes in post #63. |

fake or not, it was fun while it lasted, since it was an adult version of kids "find the hidden "whatever" in the picture"
and the scenery was great....I wished I lived near NY so I could go visit
