I probably experience deja vu about once a month also, as someone above stated.

It usually happens when I'm by myself reading, and I KNOW I've read what I'm reading, even though I haven't read the rest of the material around the specific chapter, section, etc.

any experiances i've had of deja vu involves me dreaming something, and not remembering the dream until after the real event has happened. when it has happened in real time i suddenly remember "HEY, i dreamt this" ... whats weird is that the dreams can be from years ago. yet they come to me with great clarity when the event happens.

Generally my deja vu's are pretty insignificant events at some random place, and it doesn't matter if I know all the people around me, they'll be there too. Like most have said, mine are of the "dream sequence" variety, and if I note in the dream that I'm having one (even out loud), the same occurs in reality--quite weird. But the most recent one I had was in a really significant event: I got in a car wreck a few months ago, and I remember dreaming about 2 seconds of the event (of course, not long enough to realize what was about to happen to try to change the course of time...that would have destroyed the universe anyway, right?). I didn't realize it at first, but after a couple of days, I remembered that I had dreamed the event. Quite strange!

I have deja-vu pretty often. From my own experiences, it seems to be when something happens which is similar to a dream. Since you normally don't remember dreams, the event partially recalls the suppressed memory. But I've read explanations relating to some part of the brain that keeps track of time or something like that.

I have déja vu all the time, sometimes I'll have it ten times a day, or for a period of several minutes non-stop. It never seems to happen for any particular reason, though.

I get DV occationally. Usually it's like I'm remembering a dream. I don't get any side effects like nausea. Lighting is random. Usually I don't remember it enough to predict anything, but IIRC I had an experience once where I actually did predict something. I should write these things down.

And I also enjoy them.

I have them about once a month, generally I will dream about some random event the night before, remember it somehow, and then the next day some random event will occur. It will maybe be 5 seconds long and be some completely random minor event. It is kinda a freaky experience yet at the same time cool...
