Interesting read on motion sensors surrounding Area 51/ groom lake

obvious comment, but looks just like the shuttles in the NCC-1701 D hangar bay circa late season TNG and the other one looks like a low warp speed runabout.

Area 51 has long been abandoned...

from what i've heard, in the next couple of days, you'll be able to see an x-wing there.

I saw it in a video in a class of mine, "Life in the Universe". At least thats what I remember seeing. Something about nuclear contamination. I do believe they moved the operations to our NORAD HQ.

The one on the left is actually the Delta Flyer from ST:V, as stated in the top right corner. :lol:

i thought area 51 ended up being moved from southern nevada (due to publicity/hype) to somewhere in the deserts of utah.. like in the salt flats, somewhere....

Dude, if it's abandoned why do they still have "cammo dudes" on the borders ready to shoot tresspassers? What about the busses going in to Area 51 in the morning and leaving at night? Why would they have set up those sensors? What are they guarding? Don't you think they would have moved top secret stuff--hell, everything to the new location that they moved to such as their so-called new NORAD HQ?

Nuclear contamination wouldn't explain the busses (and airplanes) that go in and out of there every day. they'd have to decontaminate them every time they left the base (and how do you decontaminate a radioactive plane AFTER it takes off from A51 and BEFORE it lands anywhere else?). Even if this were the case, eventually a mistake would happen and the public would get irradiated. The scenario doesn't make sense. What DOES make sense is that A51 has a bigassed runway. That makes it the perfect place to test new airplanes - if you have trouble on takeoff, you have a LOT of room to land again without having to go around. It's so secure because they're testing black aircraft that no one is supposed to know about yet. I'd be willing to bet you that the SR71, the F117, the U2, and the B2 were all tested at Area 51.

You have a top "secret" base in the middle of the desert, that everyone knows about. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. What does make sense is that Area 51 is a prop. A distraction. If everyone knows about it then it would make sense to keep it around and "guard" it. As long as you keep up the pretense that there's something worth guarding there people will be looking there. Meanwhile the real secret base, would have no visible security. If it's a secret you don't need anyone to guard it, because no one knows it's there. And having tons of security and patrols around only raises suspicions and makes people pay attention. The best place to hide something is to hide it in plain sight. Area 51 is just a diversion.

NO - it hasn't. In fact, my company has an open account and we send them relays and diodes etc. regularly. But you didn't hear this from me. (Yeah, I tweeked when I saw the sites, too.)

Oh well. -Shrug-....It's real. Better that then those "other" places...the ones that support the "Black Helicopters."

Maybe they let us have "just enough" information to make us believe that area 51 isn't real, and couldn't possibly be there?

Or that it's not hidden at all, but we've got so much hype talked about it, that it's completely obvious if we just looked a little closer....

Perhaps it's not hidden at all, it's been right under our noses all along?

Area 51 is the secret place where all the aliens in the universe stop off and do trading and global alliances. Earth is at the center of the universe and is often used as a trading post. There are some few occasions where a royal delegate vessel was carrying a child who may have disrupted the navigations with his psychic powers which caused crashes and coverups. The truth is were trading radiated barrels to aliens and they give us technology for new planes!
