The Old Farmhouse
This is a long fictitious tale and any similarities to any real events, people or times is purely coincidental::
One evening at an old farmhouse a man, Tom Marsh, sat down at his kitchen table to eat dinner. For reasons unbeknownst to friends and family Tom and his wife had been having marital troubles. Just before Tom had the chance to heap his plate full of the wonderful meal his wife prepared, she came up behind him with a rifle and shot him right in the back. Tom, fully shocked over the blow, slumped over the table filling his empty plate with his blood. He gathered up his energy and staggered out of the room and out the front door onto the porch. His wife, apparently still distraught, dropped the rifle and grabbed a big kitchen knife. She went outside to where he was and proceeded to repeatedly stab him until he eventually crawled into their field and died. Mrs Marsh was apprehended and executed on the spot. The old farmhouse stood exactly the way it was the night Mrs Marsh murdered her husband. It stood the same way for several years. While some local logging crews were in the area, one logger was walking in the same vicinity as the old farmhouse. He had heard a gunshot and decided to investigate what was going on. He looked around the outside and then attempted to walk inside. He was taken aback when what he saw was a plate on the kitchen table filled with fresh blood. Upon further investigation, there was no one else in the house except for himself. When the logger informed his crew of what he saw, they returned with him to the farmhouse. All they saw was a plate full of dried up blood. Everyone thought the logger had lost his marbles until they figured out it had been exactly 10 years to the day that Mr Marsh was murdered. People have to come to believe that every year on the anniversary of his death that Tom Marsh gets murdered again and again.
