Crop Circles
 

What is up with Crop Circles?? I saw the movie Signs last night and am interested in learning more about them.

The news a while back said that some guys from England with nothing better to do were making them, even showed how on a "Special" on fox, after that people were like "okay, that makes sence", and the whole thing pretty much went the way of the dodo... they still show up from time to time, but the cops and stuff usually catch the people who do it. Most of the time its a farmer who wants to charge a fee to see them.

So there is not one unsolved incident or "real" mystery that all these other people are trying to copy?? Id imagine that some real incident occured that was really a mystery and people in farms who were bored copied it to get some attention

I saw that special on FOX, it was interesting, and it made sense but still it's amazing when you see the crop circles. They're huge and whatnot. But yea I don't think most people see them as too much of a mystery anymore.

Crop Circles have always been a odd case and there are some crop circle designs that would be near impossible to make in the dark and some of the farming machinery we have atm.

Honestly, crop circles never got much publicity because they at least had an explanation as opposed to things like bigfoot or aliens when well dont, also crop circles affect hardly anyone cept farmers but they look cool.

I didnt see the thing on Fox maybe it answered the questions however some crop circles are some pretty crazy designs honestly.

I think people could design them with a simple computer graphics program. There are no aliens.

You should've seen the TLC show. It gavel lots of info on crop circles. It also proves that most are man made.

They are all man made because Aliens dont exist and if they did I would kill them all for breathing my air.

I was watching the discovery channel when they were revealing how they did the crop circles. Aparently there is some magic number I think its 6. Something to do with the way the tires on the tractor make the lines in the fields when they are planting. Either way it was still pretty cool what they did. They had boards like 1 x 4s and a rope tied in a knot the looped around and then tied in the other side so it looked like a swing sorta and then walked around using the boards and their foot to trample down the wheat.

Yea i've seen the thing on TLC they did on crop circles too.

HAHA, i ought to try that one day. I would probably get shot by some angry farmer though.

yea, woudl be fun but i cant make symmetrical cirlces on paper let alone on corn.

just put a post in the ground and tie a rope to it. pull it taught and make a circle. Voila! perfect circle.

itll have to have more than just a circle, it should be a complex shape, using circles and straight lines pretty crazy looking things could be made.

From what I've read and seen on television crop circles have been elaborately brushed off as 'just hoaxes'. While I believe a good deal of them are hoaxes....I don't think all of them are.

I believe I caught a bit of it, it said people used like boards to push down the crops and prevent leaving footprints or something to that effect. I don't really remember that well.

Reality or hoax, I would pretty scared lying in the middle of one all by myself in the dark...

read somewhere that the more likely "true" circles generally conform to some obscure mathematical formulas that we dont understand.

bit like knowing "E=MC²" before you know about energy mass etc.

or is it all smoke and mirrors.

What if the guys who demonstrated how to make crop circles were really aliens? Like they thought we were getting too close to catching on to them so they made us think that people were making them??? :eek:

How could we know the "obscure mathematical formulas", but not understand them?

I know that if I was an alien, I would go to Earth just to push down plants in patterns and make the locals say "wtf?"

Why not just kick people in the ass and then beam back to your ship before they turn around and see you?

Crop circles are a hoax. Though, I knida like the thought of som e local on TLC saying "...and then i got kicked in the ass several times, but when i turned around...no one was there!"

Yeah...prove it. There are no aliens that you know about, but then again, there are probably a lot of things you don't know about. Go outside on a clear night and look up at the sky. Do you honestly believe that humans and other earth inhabitants are the only ones around? This isn't a personal attack by the way, because there are others who feel this way. I just don't understand how people can make such bold statements.
