Have you ever lived in a Haunted house?
When I was 4-8 yrs old I lived in an old house that we knew for sure was haunted.
We would see dark shadows of people walking throughout the yard pointing and looking at the house when nobody was around. My mom would always hear the sound of children playing as if they were right next to her. My older half-brother lived in the big rec room and he would sometimes see big black 'blobs' slowly move across the room usually at night. I didn't know what was up with that room but I was terrified to go in that room for no good reason, something about it was not right. An experience that I have encountered numerous times, would be just before I was about to fall asleep at night. I'm dozing off then suddenly I felt like something was vigorously shaking me side to side, I see the room shake and I 'feel' like I'm being shaken. But my body would be completely still, it is hard to explain. Almost like my astral body was being shaken but my physical body was still. It is obvious that some 'thing' was trying to keep me from falling asleep. Once we moved out it as never happened again. There were many other minor incidents at that house I can't explain. Like loud high pitched "weeeee" sounds. One time I swear I saw someone fall out of a tall douglas fir tree to the ground. Have you ever lived in a haunted house? Explain your experiences. |

I'm not sure, I live in a house, that gave me bad vibe. nothing major happen, just a door slaming shut when nobody was there. glowing eyes underneath the bathtub, thinking it was the cat, took a broom to see, the broom pass right through the eyes, my sister and I and couple of friend went upstair to play whenwe look for one of our friend he was hanging over the stairs saying one of us put him there. Nothing too major to get freaked out about.

Experiences of spiritual visitation and impregnation: potential induction by frequency-modulated transients from an adjacent clock. Persinger MA, Koren SA. Department of Psychology, Laurentian University, Ontario, Canada. A left-handed Roman Catholic female adolescent with a history of early brain trauma reported nightly visitations by a sentient being. During one episode she experienced vibrations of the bed, an external presence along the left side that moved into her body, inner vaginal (not clitoral) and uterine sensations, and the sense of being impregnated by a force she attributed to the Holy Spirit. After the latter experience she felt an invisible baby superimposed upon her left shoulder. Analyses of the measurements for magnetic anomalies within her bedroom indicated an electric clock about 20 cm from her head while she slept. The complex form of the 4 microT magnetic pulses generated by the clock was similar to shapes that evoke electrical seizures in epileptic rats and sensitive humans. linky |

My mom and my brothers were sure we lived in several haunted houses. In Ohio, we lived in a house that was near a place where there were frequent fatal automobile accidents. We had ghosts(we thought were possibly kids that had died in a wreck nearby) that loved to play the nintendo at night. My mom also saw various decayed indians wandering around the house at night.
In Georgia, we lived on a civil war battlefield so we had 1-2 civil war soldiers in our house. One of those soldiers served as sort of a sentry. He'd flip on light switches, etc. whenever we had people wandering around outside at night. My brother also ran into an old woman in our hallway at night once when he was on his way to the bathroom. Now I don't believe in ghosts anymore and doubt my own experiences and what happened to my brothers/mom. I just happen to love ghost stories. |

My appartment had a strange glowing green "thing" in the shower, kinda in the wall, I brought the appartment manager up to show her one day, and she freaked out and would never go back into the appt. someone from her office later told me that there had been some people that were in some kind of cult that had lived there about 2 families before me, and they had been evicted and had left on bad terms, kinda scary now that I think about it...

"Haunting" is a pretty negative word. I grew up in a house with ghosts. They were mostly friendly; probably because we restored the house from a dump to a thing of beauty.
I've been in a house with a really bad, angry spirit in it. I'd call that place "haunted." It wasn't fun to be there. I think I have a ghost in my house now. She's causing problems. I'm not suer how to deal with her. I guess I'll save that for anotehr thread. Throughout my childhood, I told myself that I would never forget and dismiss what I knew was real once I grew up.

yeah Haunting is a bad word to use. I've witnessed some ghosts.. but I seem to run into more Demons.. I've kinda pissed off their boss... But yeah I run into demons and then also some angels. I do have a gaurdian spirit, or gaurdian angel, your choice. That one is with me almost everywhere I go. Not all ghosts are evil or mad or 'haunting.' Some of them merely like to screw around... ya know, have fun.
Hey, PaperMacheSatan, if you've had paranormal experiences.... what got you to stop believing them?
