Sleepwalking activity
I did this when I was little, up until about 13.
At one point, I took a TON of caterpillars in leaves from the big willow(?) and stuck them all in an ice cream bucket. Anyway, my family told me that night I was groping around on my parents bedroom floor, yelling about the caterpillars getting away. I also had this weird thing that happened a bunch of times to me. I would half wake, see someone in my closet, and I would BOLT out of bed to go catch this thing. I would come to my senses, realized what I had been doing, and freak out. Please tell me you had similar experiences.

The only time I ever sleepwalked I was a little kid, maybe 7 or 8. I was really sick, and I walked into my parents' room and started looking in my dad's hair for "them". They couldn't wake me up for about 20 seconds or so, and when they finally did I didn't remember any of it. Nothing ever happened more than once, although whenever I got sick I had terrifying reocurring dreams.

Sometimes I think there should be a Sleepwalkers Anonymous or something
I have no memories of any of my sleepwalkings, but according to my family, I've ended up out by our pool, tripped over stuff in our playroom, where my mom found me next to the babydoll cradle(I was 14 or 15) "fixing" it, went and sat in the bathtub and scared the hell out of my younger sister when she made a midnight potty run. All I can say is, if I have no memory, that's all that matters, right?

When my wife was my girlfriend, she would sleepwalk and sleeptalk like crazy if she had Robitussin before going to bed. It was so hilarious, we could actually interact with her dream. She would be walking around and everything. I even brought one of my other friends over one night because I didn't think anyone would beleive me the extent we were interacting with her when she was asleep.
One of the active ingredients in Robitussin is Dextromethorphan which apparently is a psychadelic drug! |
