Sixteen

I have a bad habit of sleepwalking. Just about every night I do one thing or another like walk downstairs to stare out a window and whatnot.

Thing is, I continually walk into my closet and feel around for a door, and most of the time I think it's just a dream. I slowly gain conciousness as I'm looking for the door and realize I'm just standing at the door to my closet feeling the wall. But I know I've been through this door that isn't there many times in dreams at least, and it seems to always lead to an old house I used to live in. Is there any way to stop sleepwalking?

I also sleepwalk, but I've never done anything like that. The worst I've ever done was walk into the middle of the street....anyway, it might be a food you ate, or your subconsious wanting some exercise.

Yeah, relax before you sleep, drink a hot drink, listen to some soothing music, maybe watch tv if its a boring program not comedy or horror or anything. or read a relaxing book

then wrap up warm under a coupple of blankets and open a window, if you sleepwalk you will be to cold if you get out of bed and wake up.

Tuck your covers so tight you can't get out eaisily. That should stop you from getting out of bed without effort.

Try meditation and a mental journey.
It may or may not help.
Take a hot bath, relax. Go to a place where your not disturbed.
Make sure you can stay awake at that place between wake and sleep. Keep a notebook handy to jot down shit later.
Just imagine, almost like pretending, or daydreaming. You are sleeping, you sleepwalk, you go to the closet and search for the door, you find it, you open it, you go through it, you look around...what do you see or feel. Whats there. Dont try to hard, just kinda go with the flow.
Write it down and see if anything relative comes to mind in your real, day to day life, ect.
It may be hard the first few times, but keep trying.

If that doesnt help, I dont know. Slack off the drugs!

learn about lucid dreaming, study it, see if you can learn it.. then you can teach yourself than when you try to open that door, its time to just get back into bed.

My roommate did this not too long ago. It was his girlfriends hamper. Needless to say he was piss drunk at the time. They aren't together any more.
