Insane coincidence or ...?
So long story short. Every night before I went to bed I would put Metallica in my friends 3 change player (the information is related). It was put in the disc two slot with Tom Petty pulling up the rear. Anywho, everynight (I assume at least 3 of 4) I have woke up and the same song has been playing, Tom Petty learning to fly. Now I really didn't notice it until my friend told me the same thing with him. So yeah, I assume it is coincidence, I doubt there is anything horrible wrong amok, but still pretty creepy. I took the CD out after it happened this morning, so If I wake up tonight and it happens I am giving myself the 86 from this place.

I think you are conditioned to wake when that song comes on. You subconciously recognize that song and wake. Or......... things have gone terribly awry and tom is sending you some sort of message--- fly the hell out of there perhaps.

I find that thing happening to me occasionally as well, I'll wake at exactly a certain time every morning or I'll wake up just before my alarm or wake up to one song on the radio only.
It's just conditioning, your subconscious identifies with that song or you are used to waking up to it so your body does. |

If it loops, I'd wager that your body is conditioned to get up and fix the repeating song. That's my guess as to why it wakes you up. Very good music choices, by the way.

Yeah as it turns out the CD is scratched in a way that when that song comes on it skips so bad that it never moves on to the next song. So basically If I were to wake up at any point of the night it would be playing.

Check the other CD's in your player. You may have inadvertently placed Metallica CD covers on your recently pirated Tom Petty CD's. This can happen when using song pirating sorfware for too long. I once ended up with twenty-five Jack Benny CD's...and only twenty-two of them actually had Jack Benny songs. Go figure.
