Doing things while asleep
Didnt know which section to post this in but paranoia sounded about right
occasionaly when i sleep i have these wierd half dreams where i wake up (or think i wake up?) and theres things happening to me in the room, its mostly wierd stuff like little animal like things runnin around or little flocks of batlike winged things comin at me when im in bed. i react to them in a dreamy sorta way like i throw my duvay over the thing running accross the floor to "trap" it then i fall back to normal sleep. When i wake up in the morning i find myself backed up into a corner with the duvay round me in a defensive sorta way or the duvay on the floor in a pile like ive caught something, i always tentitivly check under but theres never anything there heh. So im atually doing these things and reacting to the things that happen but its all a hallucination. I dunno what to make of it, anyone else have anything happen to them like this? its only happened within the last year and about 4-5times now they're semi scary at the time but they dont really bother me maybe its something like sleepwalking? anyways any insight would be nice |

Nothing quite as scary as that Nafter but i tend to work all night while i sort of sleep lately(maybe cause i started a new job) and my wife is always waking up with me standing by the bed looking kinda confused. When she asks me what I'm doing I usually mumble something about looking for parts and then wander off to the bathroom like that was where i was going all along. I usually feel pretty stupid when i come back and she usually laughs at me and asks if i found what i was looking for or whatever.
my mother told me once that my two brothers (we three shared a room for a while) and I used to hold long and rambling conversations with each other while sleeping. That was kinda cool.

The only thing that I (hopefully) do in my sleep is talk about very strange things. They usually have nothing to do with anything, and sometimes scare my girlfriend when I'm on the phone with her late at night and I slip into a half sleep, half conversation. I also sometimes, while dozing off, think that my eyes are open and I know everything thats going on, so I respond to what I think is going on, and not what really is happening.

I live in england, usually on the lookout for things like that must of missed it , next time i have one ill try and write down exactly what happened as my memory of some of them is patchy at best, much like remembering normal dreams i guess heh.
I also wake up from dreams sometimes where my balance is completly off and it feels almost like im falling/spinning sideways and i grab the bed super quick heh scares the hell outta me, but i guess they're more common, this what people talk about when they dream they're "falling"? Ive also been told i talk a -lot- in my sleep, i have a very active sleeplife it seems. Anyone else experience things like this? sleeping querks or whatever, anyway im gonna do some research into it, its all the more interestin when it happens to you

A few years ago used to sleep walk alot, I'd walk down my staircase and talk to my parents or go to the fridge. I guess I'd eventually go back to my bed. The next morning I'd wake up and I'd swear I was awake because I saw everything and know why I asked them the questions they said I did, but they all thought I was a little loco. I don't do it anymore, at least I dont think
