auras?
how many of you can see auras? or even believe in them? i've never been able to, but i'm open to the possibility of auras. or maybe just.. vibes people give out. something. i think people can definately sense things in others, subconscious or not, through 'auras'.
one good example is dating. i just broke up with my boyfriend and it seems like people can sense that i'm single.. guys are approaching me more. looking at me.. smiling at me.. i had a guy on the elevator this morning talk to me about.. the weather! haha. it's kind of weird.. i dont know how or what changed and how people can sense that. :P

Ekirk81: Everyone is different. Remember that.
Anti fishstick: Yeah auras do exist, I myself cannot see them, but I know people who have, and still do. One of my friends tells me that he was trained to see them. Someone taught him how to see them. Since it wasn't natural to him, he doesn't see everything, but he still gets certain colors that pertain to how a person will react to him. I think it'd be pretty sweet if I could see an aura around someone that would reflect if they'd be an asshole to me or not. I know others that can see colors around people, each color means something differet.. what do they mean? I don't know.. I don't see them... As Ekirk81 showed tho... Some people might smell an aura.. others might too, or it might be intinctual senses... Either that or they merely do not realize that they are sensing the auras. Who here can see auras?

I can't just see them visually, but I can sense them strongly enough that my brain can make it seem like I'm seeing something around a person.
When I pay attention, I can really tell a lot about a person by their aura. The one time that stands out in my mind was last year, when I was leaving the house one night to get to my grandmother's house where I was staying that week because of the distance to school, I looked at my father who had been sick for a while with cancer, and saw nothing but a black fog in his aura. Not even a trace of what had always been there was visible. He died the next day. I couldn't tell you how I learned to do it, but if you check out the paranormal section of the local library, there are books about exercising and uncovering mental powers that you probably don't even know you had. They tend to have goofy attempts at attention-grabbing titles like "YOU ARE PSYCHIC! DEVELOP YOUR POWER NOW!" but even those have some useful information. |

yeah, i regularly went to one of my friend's paranormal pysch classes a couple terms ago.. and i wasn't even enrolled in that school. :-x but anyway, they had a lot of guest speakers and one of them was a 'psychic' who was pretty kooky but meant well. she taught us how to see auras and all the colors and levels and what they meant and everything. but i forgot now.. i never did see those auras >=(

I have that to a small degree. I've always put it as... I can see deep into one's heart, and see what they really are. But I would love to delve into that to get some auras ( my astigmatism, gives me auras for street lights.. how about some for people? hehe). Basically if someone says they are evil, or good, or whatever, I can see it regardless. My proof (which would be by personal experience) is from a friend who.. although seemed like a good guy, was constantly plauged by satan, and he himself was unsure of where he stood, and even asked me why I persued to be his friend, when all that stuff was within him... I've also noticed that small bit that I can notice is right almost all the time. The problem is that I can't tell if they're sneaky bastards, or stealers, or people with bad tempers. Heck, or people who cheat. But hey, I got something, and I'm happy with that.

Thats interesting you bring it up. I have a teacher who used to see auras....she said that as she got older, she lost the ability. It was crazy, I asked her to try and tell me what mine was once. She stopped the class and stared at me for like three minutes, but just couldn't do it anymore. She said that people with red auras scared the living daylights out of her when she was younger. Intersting, methinks. I'd love to "learn how". Maybe see what people are being genuine.

i've always sortof wondered about this. someone once told me that he could see my aura, but i tend to think it was more of a comeon than something he could really see about me...heh. i tend to feel energy strongly around certain people--there are people with whom i am comfortable, and people with whom i am not, and the energies i feel around those two types are different. maybe aura/energy things are like first impressions...i'd like to know more.

I for one believe these auras exists, although it may be strongly linked with ones personality and how they approach and treat people. I mean think of the following situation you are lost and a stranger approaches you and helps you get to where you were intending to go. You will automatically feel a positive aura from this person since they helped you in your time of need.
I've been told by some church dude that i have a aura of helping and bringing positive thoughts to people. I was pretty seceptical (spelling) at first but for the past year or so i have found myself people many people who i have never meet before, the weirdest part is that i get a buzz out of helping these people so in a way its a win win situation. I would to actually meet one such person who can see these auras, although i do believe these auras exist. |

Yeah i pretty much agree with Spidey. Peoples auras would closely tied to their dispoistion and nature. Although as for seeing them, i can't, but i think you can sometimes feel it through your intuition or something.... |

Sometimes it's not even the fact that you are single. It's just the fact that you notice it now. They could have been making moves all along and you were just so head over heals for this guy you were with that the rest of the world didn't even matter to you.

It's typically easier for me to feel someone's engergy. I love it when I'm close enough to a person to be able to touch them and at the same time not touch them, ya know what I mean? When you can feel someone's energy so well that you can feel them without ever touching their body? |

My wife says she sees them when she tries to, and sees different colors to people and such, and sometimes she tells me specifically that she can see mine and explains what I/we should do, and shes usually right. I don't doubt she sees them, so I go along with it, I trust her.

I think auras are our electro-magnetic fields. So those photographs that show your magnetic fields I think are helpful in determining what your aura probably looks like to those who can see it (I can't). A friend of mine went to this "psychic fair" thing and we got our aura photographs taken. A few days before this fair, I asked my friend what she thought my aura looked like since she says she can feel the different colors from an aura. The way she described my aura was very similar to the polaroid of my aura thing. Anyways, googled: magnetic photograph aura Example photos History

When People are speaking to a group of people or teaching a group of people and they seem confident.
I see what I think is a kind of Aura and maybe you see it too. It is a haze that Generates from the top of the head and fuzzes outward lining the head and shoulders. The the haze is kind of layered and you can see off sets of colors. This may just be positive energy coming from a person addressing others. But anyhow I always see this only when someone is teaching or addressing a big group with confidence. Hope I'm not nuts lol

There's no such thing as auras--it's just your perception of the world changing. When you want people to notice you and you think they're going to, they do--but only because you notice when they do. Also, think about this: the only reason that you're thinking about this is because you noticed him--would that have happened when you were with your boyfriend?

if there is no such thing, how do you explain the colors that people will see?
Would you at least be able to ponder it being energy that people give off, and we can just pick up on that energy?

Found what the colors represent...
White A lot of energy being sensed. Red Physical Energy; physically-based person personality or sensuality. Harsh reds tend to indicate emotionally charged physical animation, usually anger. Warm reds, sensuous, or physically charged and healthy. Orange Friendly, open, approachable Yellow Intellectual, thinking, working faculties. Green Healthy, balanced, calming, charming, sensualness, sensible or conniving. Blue Intellect but calm reserved, spiritual, convinced; sometimes an integrated personality exuding charisma. Violet Spiritual, sensitive, focused but not necessarily in reality. Purple It is a combination of Blue and Red, a mixed bag and a spectrum of what it could be. Pink Physical energy being diffused, hence it is a calming color. Lime Green Not many have this color and are balanced; usually stress-related. Brown Work with this color to get a feel for it. Could be warm rich and well integrated person, or a one who is unhealthy, or just to much going on (different types of stress). Black Nothing getting out, shielding or hiding. Total absorption. Do you feel tired? Do you feel the world sucking around you? Or is it like a flat black but you sense a scintillation of your own energy being diffused out? In other words, is there a metallic tint? If you feel drained, it could be a "psychic vampire". Otherwise, it may be someone who is very skilled who doesn't want to be noticed, scanned or bothered. Usually the colors when viewed with these people tend to be more metallic. Many people misinterpret these also. Mixed shades (Like mixed reds) Mixed emotion. Stability should be questioned. Generally not based in reality. |
