Wesley Willis is in fact....JIMI HENDRIX!!!
So I came upon this theory tonight when I was listening to some Hendrix, that he and Wesley Willis are one and the same! For those of you not familiar with Wesley Willis, he is a native Chicagoan "musician," or rather, a drunken retarded bum who sings horribly out of tune with bizarre lyrics to the same electric keyboard tune (simply at different keys and tempos), and has composed hundreds of songs, such as "I Whupped Batman's Ass" and "Rock and Roll McDonald's". He headbutts people. (Type Wesley Willis into google and you will get many informative pages about him.)
Back to the theory: Wesley Willis and Jimi Hendrix have extremely similar voices. Some might note a slight difference in lyric and musical style, and the fact that Willis is a gigantic schizophrenic moron, but I attribute this to a near death drug overdose incorrectly assumed to have caused Hendrix's actual death. Some might also point out the blatant physical differences, but seriously, what can't be done with plastic surgery these days? So, as I have above so efforly proven as scientific fact, Jimi Hendrix, possibly the greatest rock guitarist, is not dead, but lives on...as WESLEY WILLIS! Rock over London, Rock on Chicago!! God I need sleep.

I you could convince me that Willis could be both 61 years old and incredibly obese, I'll eat my hat. People that big don't live to see 40. http://www.texassherry.com/Wesley___..._SXSW_2001.jpg

Well obviously, back in Willis's early days when he went by the name of Hendrix, he was much skinnier so there was no weight issue. But probably in the eighties when he was krunked out on drugs, living on the streets of Chicago, he gained the weight. I'd give him a few more years.
http://www.monzy.org/wesley/ is an informative site about Willis. Plus, at the bottom of the page is a Wesley Willis song generator, so you can see what it is like to have the creative song writing ingenuity of this rock legend.

Holy shit - Wesley Willis just died!
text copied from http://www.empty-handed.com/archive/2003_08_22.html Dear Friends and fellow Wesleynauts, We are deeply saddened to report that one of our artists, Wesley Willis passed away yesterday, Thursday, August 21st. Wesley will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to know him, as well as the fans who have been fortunate enough to experience his genius. Wesley was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) at the end of 2002, and had to undergo emergency surgery on June 2nd to identify the source of, and to suppress internal bleeding. It is not clear if this bleeding was related to his leukemia or not, and the exact cause of death is still unknown. Wesley had been recovering at a Hospice in Illinois, and since the surgery his health had deteriorated rapidly. His songs were simultaneously disturbing, hilarious, blunt, and intoxicating. Wesley's sheer excitement and unaffected honesty about every cultural phenomenon, defined his music as truly individual, and truly punk rock. Wesley released well over 50 albums - 3 of which are on Alternative Tentacles, and a 4th, entitled, Wesley Willis Greatest Hits Vol. 3 (CD) had already been scheduled for release in October of this year. For more information on Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, please visit http://leukemia-lymphoma.org . Currently there are no plans for any funeral service but we will inform you if there will be. A tragic loss of a truly one of a kind musician.
