Photographs...
I would like to see some of these paranormal photographs.
I get tired of searching google, and the art bell site isnt organized anymore. I'd like to see some photos of: Bigfoot Nessie Aliens UFOs Ghosts Orbs Chemtrails Vampires El Chupachabra And the et cetera. Why do I want photos of these, you may ask. I am doing some things to eliminate my fear of such things. ...this would be one of them.

There are several web cams set up in supposedly haunted places. You can sit and stare for hours waiting for something to happen if you're really interested.

Orbs? You mean like ball lightning?
If so then you should know that's not a supernatural occurance, just a very VERY rare natural one. A mod explained that to me once...his name escapes me now...

If you want real photos, then you are out of luck. If you want fake photos then you might want to check out this site.

Orbs, in the sense used today, are believed by ghost experts to be forms that ghosts take on when they aren't in a human/animal/whatever form.

www.ghoststudy.com has photos of ghosts, which are judged by experts to be real or not.

I'm quite skeptical about this kind of thing. I enjoy looking at the photos, hoping to find something that will convince me, but with technology today, it's just way too easy to fake these kinds of things. Plus there are so many things that are just out of focus or light reflections that people misinterpret. So when I'm looking at these ghost pics, I'm really not buying any of it. Yet for some reason, it still freaks me out. I really need to stop looking at those before I'm about to begin an all night homework session. Damn. It's going to be a long night (with all the lights on)

I've read a lot of ghost stories, both fictional and purportedly true, and firmly believe that there's something else out there after death. That said, I didn't find a single photo on the ghoststudy.org site to be even faintly compelling, and at worst they were downright embarrassing and silly. I looked at the last six months, choosing randomly, and every single one of them felt hokey and possibly faked. This painting of a crying child, however, was more than a little creepy.
Who would paint a portrait of an obviously distraught child, and who would keep it? I can't figure that one out. I would call it hoax, save for the media coverage. Not to mention the fact that almost none of these locations are named for verification.

heh, I was walking in downtown Gettysburg when someone approached me and asked for me to do a "Ghost walk" (mind you, I am a giant skeptic as well as an asshole, so I humored myself.) He showed me some pictures with what he called "ectoplasma" etched into them, this is what happens when you catch a ghost on film, he says. I then pointed out the shadows in the "ectoplasma", as well as it's striking similiarity to cigarette smoke. He then showed me a picture of a graveyard with a strange RED HALF-DISC floating above a grave.........I then pointed to the lamp in the photograph and called the disc something so remotely bizarre it would only be considered absolutely preposterous.........."lens flare".

I have yet to see an 'orb' photo or video that doesn't look like A) a lens flare or B) a dust mote floating by the camera. Not to say that ghosts don't exist, but these 'orb' and ectoplasma photos are rediculous in my opinion.

Well, when I come back from the grave you better believe it won't be as an orb or a squiggle. I'll be a faintly green glowing humanoid shape so there is no question. I'll pose for pictures and do the Lindy Hop for people to video tape. Then when I'm done having fun, I'll get down to the real work of being a ghost and that is haunting my ex-wife. I already told her I was going to do it so she will be expecting me.

One day in 1930, Swiss geologist Dr. Francois de Loys was leading an expidition in the rainforest near the Brazilian-Columbian border when two ape-like creatures walked out of the bush, upright on two legs, in front of them. Startled, they moved towards the party in a threatening manner which caused the men to shoot them. The female was killed while the male fled into the bush. Officially there are no apes in South America, which is why this creature had no rational explaination. Not only did it walk upright on two legs like a human, but it had no tail. It stood about 5 feet tall (1.5 metres) and was too heavy to carry with them, so they propped it sitting on a crate, placing a pole under it's chin to photograph it. Sadly, most of the photos were lost when the geologists' boat capsized but this one terrific picture did survive. When they got back to London, it rattled the scientific world. One French zoologist was convinced it was a species of unknown ape, the first ever found in South America. Others thought it was closer to the known Spider Monkey in spite of the much larger and muscular body and the fact it had fewer teeth than that species. Some rivals even argued that it must have indeed had a tail and de Loys had purposely hidden it to take the photo. Today this incident is all but forgotten in cryptozoologist circles. Kinda looks like my mother-in-law

Really, I had a classmate in school who's grandfather came upon the remains of a very large "sea serpent" in California in the 40's or 50's. He managed to take a couple of pictures of it before the authorities came and roped the area. I think they confiscated his film as well, but a newspaper managed to get some and printed a picture. I fully believed him...he was an honest guy and had no reason to lie about it. MrSelfDestruct...what happened to the pictures you said you'd post? I'd love to see them!

The ape body was lost in a boat accident as they traveled down the Amazon...
